Cool Beans

Guest post written by Derick Burks

I went on a date last Sunday night with this super awesome, sweet, sweet guy. After the date I wasn’t sure if I liked him. I came in and did my nightly ritual of putting on my pajamas and watching Bravo on my Georgia cable tv. As I sat there watching Flipping Out, there was just one thing about this guy I couldn’t shake from my mind. It was his casual use of two words, which I consider worse than profanity… “cool beans.” Oh my gosh, I’ve gotten to the point I can’t even say them out loud they annoy me so much. Like really, who in the world still says (or has ever said) cool beans? Maybe I’m just a snooty, but if so, this snooty girl can’t stand to date a guy that says cool beans. I’ve tried to forgive him for it, but he just keeps saying it. And he has now on three separate occasions even typed it into a text message! Like seriously, he has no shame. I’m going to either have to get over it, or prepare myself for the weirdest break up conversation ever. I fear it’s going to be the later.

Flipping

Post contributed by Hilton Miranda

I went to www.texaselectricityproviders to see if I could get come information on electricity installation for a house that I have been renovating. I have been interested in house flipping since I used to go with my dad on the weekends to work what he called his second job, working on old houses. When I flipped my first house, I was hooked. I made twenty-five thousand dollars. I have been flipping on my own ever since. I have recently become more interested in historic renovation. I took a couple of classes at the university and learned a lot more about it. You can usually pick up old houses for a lower price, but there are a lot of things that need to be done. Typically I start with the wiring and electicity. I repair any plumming problems and then start on finishing ( and selling) touches. I usually strip and re-stain floors and paint the house in colors that are typical of the period that the home was built. I do everything myself except for the tough wiring and plumbing. It’s a lucrative hobby.

Diet!

The article written by Victor Flowers

Finally all over! Just got off a 30-day low iodine diet. Forget South Beach, Atkinds, or any of those other crazy diets, low iodine is super hard! I couldn’t eat seafood (Or anything from the sea, including sea salt), dairy, egg yoks, soy. It was nearly impossible to get protein because I had to have meat in such limited portions! I never expected it but diary was the thing I missed the most! I made my husband fill the freezer with ice cream not that I”m off the diet-in exchange he got to sign up for satellitle tv’s latest deal on tvbydirect.com. Such a doll! Going for rocky road now!

Help With Loan Modifications

When it comes to Mortgage Lending and loan modifications I have no idea where to begin. I was at dinner the other night talking with some friends who have been homeowners for over 30 years and they mentioned that doing some research online is the best way to stay up to date on the FHA (Federal Housing Administration) regulations and programs. We found a company called Advantage Home Rates.com which was able to help us with our lending and modification situations especially after loosing my job for almost a year when the economy tanked. There was a whole section dedicated to financing and modifications for homeowners with damaged and low credit scores. The site was a saving grace for us as we were able to get our loan modified and add a new addition to our home, a nursery.

Now that we can keep our home we will be able to have a great place to raise our kids and watch them grow. It’s in a great location from my new job and the school district is top notch. Thanks to Advantage Home Rates.com everything is going to finally be alright.

The Finest Cotton Scrubs

We did a recent article for a medical journal on the evolution of the nursing uniform more commonly known as scrubs. The final story captures the interesting changes we have found through our research and the archives we have studied. Back in the early days nursing uniforms were either full dresses or a skirted bottom. Today there is a more modernized cotton scrubs as produced by the modern scrub designers at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/. The evolution basically takes us from nursing uniforms as a sign of the times when women wore exclusively dresses to a trend with more practical and baggy fitting scrub that allowed the nurses to perform their work in a comfortable uniform. Today scrubs are following on with fashion trends and while maintaining a practical fit, the scrubs are designed to fit a little tighter and the prints and cuts on the scrubs are following those of a modern fashion designer. In a way it almost completes the loop when scrubs were a modeled after our regular outfits and today being designed to fit and be styled like our everyday outfits.

There are some interesting stories in the article about when and why styles on scrubs were made but for the sake of this post we will just say like any sports uniform, school uniform, etc they are altered to reflect a sign of the times or rather and evolution or reflection on the one whom wears the uniform. Take baseball uniforms for example if you look back at your fathers old baseball cards and compare that to today’s ball players you will notice a great difference in the styling of the uniform. Pants are baggier, hats are fitted and flat billed, pant legs are not tucked into socks anymore, but draped over. The uniforms are branded with athletic companies logos as some sort of product placement advertisements. That’s not the case with nursing uniforms but don’t be surprised if you begin to see hospital logos, brand logos, and even pharmaceutical company logos pop up on their uniforms.

Awesome Scrubs For Men & Women

We found a company called Blue Sky Scrubs that offers a variety of different style of scrubs for women and there is also a large selection of men scrubs. It is not your typical generic scrub company that sells the cheap scrubs you find at Walmart. Not that there is anything wrong with those scrubs, they make great Halloween costumes and pajamas. If you are a professional in the health care industry then you are going to want to check out Blue Sky Scrubs. Their products are high quality, fashion forward, durable and very flattering in the way they fit your body. Get noticed in the work place as someone who is presentable and professional looking.

The site not only has scrubs but pullovers, lab coats, shoes and other nursing and medical accessories. It’s easy to use and you will find a great selection and variety of sizes on this easy to use website. I sent my sister a link and she picked up a pair and when she got them in the mail she ordered 2 more pairs she loved them so much. What are you waiting for?

If you want to be taken serious in your career then act professional and look professional. Check out http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/ to see the wide variety of men’s and women’s scrubs and their other selections of hospital uniforms to meet all of your professional needs.

Considering a Change

Content by Sol Rosales

There were a lot of things to consider when I first decided to work from home…it was really quite a production. I of course talked to my boss first and he gave me the go ahead but told me I had to come to him with a complete list of how many things I needed to expense and what the daily schedule was going to look like. I had to research hughesnet costs and the price of a new home monitor but I didn’t need a lot since most of my business was conducted over the web anyway. I’ve been at home now for two months and it seems to be working out really well so I think it was a good move, all in all! I love the flexibility of being at home and not having to go through that awful 2 hour commute each day and my boss seems happy with my increased output as well. Working from home is better than I ever thought it would be and I encourage all of you to look into it!

Truely the Great White North

When investing in a fixer upper recently in Toronto we had meet with several toronto contractors to discuss what we had in mind for the renovation. We wanted to do a total overhaul to this property for several reasons so finding the right contractor for the right price was key for this project.

We were absolutely blown away by there impressive portfolio of toronto home additions and toronto renovations. Finding a contractor with a portfolio that speaks to your style is so important. If you use price as your determining factor than you are going to 9/10 end up unhappy with the final renovation.

First the property was in ruff shape and the amount of repairs is almost equal to the price of starting from scratch. The second factor for this project was its location. Only an hour outside of Toronto this property had breathtaking views of Sugar Mountain. We really wanted to give it an aspen modern feel by using large windows to enhance the view and really turn this property into a desired home when we put it on the market.

Dallas Homes for Sale

On a recent search for Dallas Homes for Sale our realtor showed us several stunning properties on the Dallas Real Estate. We already own 2 properties in Texas so we are excited to to lock down an investment in the heart of Texas.

As a big Dallas Stars hockey fan I think that finding Dallas Homes For Sale is going to be more than just a sound investment to add to my real estate portfolio. It is going to also be a great vacation spot for my wife and I to stay during the winter to escape the cold but also I will be getting season tickets with Jezy this year and we are going to split up the tickets. I can’t wait to find the right spot and get some renovations done so we can have it ready for October when the season starts.

Then, when we least expected it, we had to get junk cars for cash because the thing just wouldn’t budge!

If you are looking for a trust worth and knowledgeable realtor in the Dallas Fort Worth Area we recommend USA Realty Services and their state of the art website makes browsing homes on the internet easier than ever, which is key when looking for property out of state. It not only saves you the time and money of traveling out to Texas to begin your search, but it also gives you a head start on the properties you want to see when you visit and helps separate the good from the bad to ensure you get the right property for your real estate investment.
