When my husband got transferred last year, we made a decision to try something different and move to a small town within driving distance of a much larger city. Since he travels and is gone most of each week, I found myself with lots of time on my hands and saw the need in the community for a bakery. After lots of research and hard work, I was able to find a great location “on the town square.” It took a while but I was able to transform an old barber shop into a cute little storefront and started selling my sweet treats. I’m happy to say that the response from the community has been overwhelming. Of course, traffic is lots heavier in the early morning when folks are on their way to work but I’m now seeing more people coming in throughout the day. The hometown bank has been helpful with helping me set up the right kinds of accounts and I used www.BANK-CARD-processing.com to find a good way to process my credit card receipts. Other than the waistlines that have increased, I think everything about my new business has been positive.
